Safety is paramount on any job site as well as our homes and home workshops. Yet it’s all too easy to overlook the necessary precautions when working on professional and home projects, this includes how we use and store our Lithium-Ion batteries.

Lithium-Ion batteries are widely used in most of our devices, including: smartphones, laptops, power tools, electric vehicles, and beyond. Unfortunately, the chemistry inside Lithium-Ion batteries is not completely stable. Physical damage from impact, overheating, or even manufacturer defects can cause these batteries to become dangerous.

Justrite Features

The Justrite Battery Charging Cabinet features can be broken down into three main categories: general/functional, safety, and security. We’ll take a closer look at each of these to help you understand how this cabinet fits and works in your space.

The benchtop Justrite Battery Charging Cabinet measures 24-in H x 43-in W x18-in D and has an 8-receptable power strip attached in the back lower cabinet, and has a 2kWh TECR maximum total WATT capacity. We were able to fit eight different batteries and chargers between the two storage shelves and had room to spare. Each shelf has a 65 lbs. weight capacity.

On the outside, there is a single, 3-prong plug that will allow you to connect this cabinet to power. According to Justrite, “This product is intended to be plugged into a dedicated 120VAC/60Hz GFCI supply using a minimum 14 gauge cord.”

The cabinet is designed with piano hinges which are strong to ensure proper door alignment when the cabinet is closed and batteries are charging.

Fire Safety Features

The Justrite Lithium-Ion charging cabinet is designed to charge your batteries and protect you and your property in the event of a battery fire by keeping the fire contained. The battery fire safety features of this cabinet are a double-wall construction made of 18-guage, fire-resistant steel. And there is a 1-1/2″ air gap between the walls.

The power strip helps keep the fire and heat in the cabinet in case there is a problem with one or more batteries.

The manual-close doors feature baffled vents with a unique flame arrester pattern.

Charging batteries can generate a lot of heat. The Justrite Battery Charging Cabinet includes a built-in Axial fan to regulate the internal cabinet temperature. The fan is protected by sliding doors that close and obstruct the fan opening if the internal temperature exceeds 135° Fahrenheit. On the outside of the cabinet there is a heat-reactive label that turns black if the internal temperature reaches 120° Fahrenheit or above to alert you before opening.

Additional features include: grounding attachment, leveling feet, and a three-point stainless steel bullet latching system, which ensures a secure and reliable door closure while enhancing resistance to heat and corrosion.

This may be a lot of money for the everyday DIY’er, but for the professional tradesman or serious prosumer this is an invaluable fire safety product that can protect you and your workers from injury and even death, and prevents the financial loss and impact of devastating fire damage to your workspace. This charging cabinet is made in the USA (with US & imported parts), and is covered by a Justrite’s Limited Warranty “against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten years from date of purchase”.

There is a little assembly required but it takes about 5 minutes and is very easy to put together.  When putting the dolly together, that is when we realized how solid and well built the platform is made.  The polymer construction is lightweight but defending solid and made for the daily abuse of the job site.

I usually have a knock-on caster because I hate it when companies cheap out on casters.  The Milwaukee dolly has nice casters that roll nicely.  We did have a little problem rolling over an extension cord but for the most part, we could roll over small items that would normally stop a dolly in its tracks.

As with all the Packout stuff, I love how easy it is to lock and unlock each box.

Overall if you are part of the Packout family, the dolly is a great addition.  The dolly is solid, rolls nicely and makes your life easier when moving the system around the shop or job site.  A $90 investment isn’t to bad for the quality and the convenience.

Since Milwaukee came out with the Packout system, I have been a huge fan.  While I think some of the products in the Packout system are expensive, I think the mounting plate is priced right.  I love being able to hang these plates in the shop and have either my fasteners or other items right at my finger tips, plus I love freeing up space on my bench.

For those who are on the road, I think the moounting plate is a huge plus and can make organizing and freeing up space so much eaiser.  Considering the way the packoutsystem locks into the mounting plate, it will stay in place even over the roughest road.

Husky Steel Cabinet – First Impressions

Sometimes you don’t need a monster tool chest.  Either you don’t have enough tools or don’t have space.  Maybe you just want a smaller cabinet to fit a need.  That is where I see this cabinet fits in.

When we first received this cabinet, we were not disappointed.  The cabinet is what you would expect from Husky’s new line of cabinets.  It’s solid, the casters move around nice, the drawers are smooth and the cabinet is solid.

I love the wood top and how you have a nice working space.  The wood top means you can use it for harder applications like working with hammers or mallets.

One nice feature I like about Husky is that the tray liners are included.  While most do have this feature, we have tested other units in the past where you have to buy and cut your own to size.

So here is the deal.  If you are new to Husky, go to your local Home Depot store and check them out.  Open the drawers, check out the casters and put some weight in the drawers.  Trust me, you will be able to see the quality of this cabinet.  I can sit here and talk to you but it’s not until you check them out for yourself that you will be impressed.

A while back a friend of mine asked me what tool cabinet to buy.  I told him Husky.  All he did was try and give me reasons not to buy it.  I finally told him to go to Home Depot and check it out for himself.  The next week, he sent me a picture of it sitting in his garage.

When it comes to quality, you usually get what you pay for.  But with Husky, that breaks the mold as the Husky boxes offer what the higher price tag boxes offer but for a much lower price.

Having a workspace is crucial for any job.  You need a flat place you can work that is stable and has a large surface.  For me, I like building my own benches.  However, that does take time and sometimes you just want an easy solution that will allow you to get set up and working right off the bat.  That is where the Husky Workbench comes into play.  For a reasonable price, you get a solid bench that allows you to sit and work or stand and work.  The bench folds away nicely and is solid.

Husky Workbench – First Impressions

Before you even walk up to this bench, it looks awesome.  The wood top looks classic and the black steel legs look like they can withstand a bomb.

Once you are working with the bench, the first thing we noticed is how stable the bench is.  The bench isn’t flimsy, it doesn’t wobble and the table top is thick so you can actually use this as a workbench and hammer on it.

The legs are thick steel and will not buckle.  You can adjust the feet if you need to level out the bench.

We have the bench set up and will leave it in place but you can raise or lower the bench depending upon if you want to stand and work at the bench or sit and work at the bench.  The other nice feature is the ability to fold it up and store it.

I know there isn’t a lot to talk about a workbench but for me, I have two points that make a bench worth the cost.  The first is stability, which this has.  The second is durability, which this also has.  So for me, I am sold on the bench.

Husky Workbench – Wrap Up

Bottom line, this bench is solid and provides a large working surface for any garage or shop.  I love the top and how well it’s built with the steel legs.  While we will use this bench in the standing position, it’s nice to set it up for a sitting position also.  Right now we have it located in our shop on the mechanic side of the shop and will be leaving it in place so we can work on parts, etc.  However, for those who want to drag it out for certain occasions, it’s also nice it can fold up for storage.  For $352, it’s a good deal.  I have to admit when I first saw the price, I was shocked, but after seeing the quality, it’s worth it.

Milwaukee Foam Packout – First Impressions

The Packout system is one of my favorite job site tool organizational systems. I love how tough they are, how they lock into place and all the different sizes. The handle and hinges are held together with a metal rod, so they are built to last.  I like how beefy the latches are and easy to open, even with gloves on.

The foam is solid foam.  I have seen other systems where the foam is rather soft.  While that will still protect your tools, it’s always harder to cut.  With the Milwaukee foam, the solid foam, it seems easier to cut.

Now my house is under construction so my stuff is scattered all around.  Once I get back to being organized, I am going to put my favorite LDM and Infrared camera in the case.

A $70 investment can protect hundreds and even thousands of dollars worth of tools.  I like the construction and love the Packout system.  So while the price tag is a little heavy, I think you get what you pay for with the Milwaukee Foam Packout. Husky Mobile Office Organizer – First Impressions

As noted above, I have had a lot of experience with Husky storage and mobile solutions.  I have always been impressed.  They are always high quality and well designed.

So with this one, here are my thoughts.  On the outside, I love the set up where I can easily access a tape measurer, my drinks and a pen, plus a small notebook.  These are the things I would use all the time and love having quick and easy access to them.  I love the lid.  I remember always trying to write on my center console of the truck and it was a pain. I did have a clipboard, which was helpful, but with the edges on the top, things won’t fall off, especially when they are sitting on the truck seat at a decline. The outside has a lot more storage for other items you want to access quickly.

The inside is nice and will help you stay organized with the dividers.  You can store a laptop inside but it wouldn’t be a full-size laptop.  There is enough free room to store your lunch or a couple of tools.  The inside has two small pockets that I am sure you can find something to store there.

So there is a lot to love about this organizer. The quality, the overbuild and layout.  While I do think this is a great mobile solution for the person on the go, I would like to see a couple of things changed for gen 2.

The lid is great, especially with the lip to prevent items from falling off.  What I would like to see is the top lid to be smooth so if I have a single sheet of paper, it’s still easy to write on.  Not a huge deal since you can just put a legal pad down.  The inside is also great and roomy but it would be nice if there was another couple of inches for more open room for bigger items.

Again these two items are just me nitpicking because overall, I love this bag for the person on the go.

Husky Mobile Office Organizer – Wrap Up

I don’t do much on the road anymore but a while back when I worked for a snow plow company, I lived out of my truck. In the summertime, I was out selling and measuring for the next year.  In the winter time, I was doing time cards and so much more.  Back then, this organizer would have been huge.  I remember trying to find a simple solution to help keep me organized and never did find a system.

Milwaukee Low Profile Packout – First Impressions

The build quality is great.  The plastic is thick and not some flimsy plastic as we have seen with other storage systems.  The metal latches and the metal rod that attaches the lid to the body make this a tough system.

At first, I was excited about being able to rearrange the trays.  Then after discovering, they are removable, but you can not rearrange them I was a little disappointed.  However, I see why you can’t rearrange them as the lids go into the trays making them a tight fit and items don’t go from one tray to another.

The ability to add dividers makes this much more customizable and useful. When you close the lids, the cases are extremely solid.  Best of all, I love how easy it is to lock onto one another and remove.

I am a huge fan of the Milwaukee Packout.  Besides being tough, they are very easy to use.  It’s simple to lock and unlock a storage container from each other.  I am happy to see these low profile containers hit the market as they are great for smaller items such as fasteners and other accessories.  The prices aren’t bad and I think they are a decent value considering the quality behind the organizers.

Like most people, I am a huge fan of quality tool boxes/cabinets.  The reason I have to stress quality is that while there are a ton of tool boxes in the marketplace it’s hard to find a quality box.  As you would expect, we always get emails asking about our opinion.  One request we always seem to get is what is the best box for the money?  I have to admit, I have never recommended Kobalt.  Not because I don’t I like them, but because I have never had any experience with them.  So since this is our first experience with Kobalt, let’s jump into the Kobalt Tool Cabinet Review and see what we think.

Kobalt Tool Cabinet Review Overview

Kobalt is a brand name of Lowes.  They have everything from power tools, hand tools, tool storage and more.  While I have had a lot of experience with Kobalt, this is really my first with the boxes. The one thing I can say is that when I first unwrapped this box, I was extremely surprised at the quality So before I jump into the performance of what I like or don’t like about the box, let see what features this box has to offer.

Kobalt Tool Cabinet Review Features

This cabinet is the 3000 series and is built as a heavy duty workbench.  The cabinet provides 28,000 Cu inches of storage and a 2,000 lb load capacity. The walls are double thick for durability. The measurements are 61″ wide by 20″ deep and 41″ high.

The top is a solid oak surface.

The cabinet is built in with the Kwikset Smartkey which means you can easily rekey your locks to all use a single key.  Yes, it’s safe and can’t be rekeyed without having the original.

The drawers support up to 100 lbs per drawer.  The ball bearing glides provide smooth operation along with a soft close.

The cabinet does come with the liners.  They are thick and not cheap ones we have seen with other brands.

The cabinet has 11 different drawers and the best feature is there are numerous sizes, not just a couple.

The casters are beefy and high quality.  The cabinet comes with two rigid and 2 swivel casters.

One each side of the cabinet, there are pegboard holes to hang tools.  The tubular handle can be moved and mounted to either side of the cabinet.

The included power strip is magnetic so you can put it anywhere on the box.

Kobalt Tool Cabinet Review Performance

The drawers all open easily and I love how solid this cabinet is.

The slides are nice and extremely smooth.

It’s easy to lock and unlock the casters with your foot.

The cabinet is great but I love the different size drawers.  You get a nice long top drawer and then the other drawers allow you to be organized with different types of tools.

Kobalt Tool Cabinet Review Value

So here is the deal, the cabinet runs about $280 at Lowes.  I had to take a second and third look to make sure I was talking about the right SKU and it wasn’t just a sale price.  To me, this is a steal at that price.  I am not sure why everyone wouldn’t jump at that price. If you are looking for a box, for $280, you can’t go wrong.

Update – Not sure what happened to the price and if Lowes had it wrong on their website but now it’s priced at $699.

Kobalt Tool Cabinet Review Final Thoughts

All in all, this is a great box and especially for the money.  I love the drawers and how easy they open and close.  The biggest plus of this box is the different size drawers.  So many boxes just go with a couple of size drawers and I love how Kobalt mixed them all up. The Smartkey will make your life easier as you can use a single key.  For mine, I have my door, shed, box and this cabinet all keyed to one key so I no longer have to carry around a bunch of keys.

The tote is made from a 1680D polyester fabric. The bag is 19″ wide by 11.5″ deep and 14″ high. The bag is an open bag which means it doesn’t have a zipper. The bottom of the tote has 5 rubber feet to protect the bag and the surface.

The outside of the tote has 9 outside pockets and 18 inside pockets. On the inside, you can store bigger tools such as drills or impacts.

One cool feature is the on the go organizer.  The tote features a removable organizer which can have other tools.  So if you have a smaller tool, you don’t have to lug the bag around to move to a nearby location.  Just remove the organizer and go.

The organizer zips open and has a ton of spots for screwdrivers, testers or other hand tools.

The bag stands up straight and open because the whole bag is stiff.

There are two handles which have a hard rubber handle.

The tote features a reinforced edging which helps with durability.  So when you hit the bag against something, the edging will hold up much better than cloth.

Even on the sides of the bag, you can store tape, tape measurers or other tools you want quick access to.

Husky Pro Tote Review Performance

For me, I like the stiff bag.  I have used soft bags, but the top always closes and you need two hands, one to open the bag and the other to get the tool out.  With the Husky, it stays open and can be accessed very easily.

The organization set up is great and for a tradesman or someone else, you can easily find a good set up that suits you.

Husky Pro Tote Review Value

The bag retails for $60 at The Home Depot.  At first, I was a little sticker shocked.  Husky is always quality but they usually have good prices.  The more I thought about the $60 price tag, the more I am okay with it.

I have seen bags sell for a lot more.  With the build quality of the Husky, it’s much better than some of the competitor’s products and for less. If you take this bag and stick a brand name on the bag, you will pay more.  With the Husky, you get a great bag but for less.

Husky Pro Tote Review Final Thoughts

Bottom line, it’s really hard for me to knock this tote.  I like the build quality and like how easy it is to stay organized with this tote.  While a shoulder strap might be nice for some (which it doesn’t come with), it’s something I wouldn’t use and carry on my shoulder. I like the big pockets on the outside and the large open mouth to access tools on the inside.

This is a pretty cool idea.  I like the rugged material and how you can stack 3 or 4 of these in a 5-gallon bucket.  This is great for an electrician keeping tape and all the other small parts for electrical work.  The list can go on for who can benefit from this.

Accessing the inside dividers is easy and they do stay open once you have something inside.

Final Thought

For $13, it’s a good deal.  As a simple way to stay organized and be mobile, it’s a good solution.  I like the rugged material, the loop for transporting and the drawstring to close it up.  Well thought out and a good solution for those looking to stay organized with their small parts and hand tools.

With the relaunch of the Craftsman Tool brand last year, we were able to travel to Baltimore for the Craftsman Launch Event and got a first look at what the brand was really going to bring to the table. There was a huge lineup of new power tools, cordless technology, and outdoor power equipment. One of the things that stood out to me though, was the storage options. Craftsman has a wide range of options and lines to choose from. The one that stood out to me the most was the 3000 Series. It seemed to bring unique features and high-quality materials together all without breaking a budget, something I think Craftsman as a whole has done with their new launches. I think everyone has a Craftsman Tool Story, and likely it involved hand tools and the very iconic red handheld toolbox. For me, Craftsman is a brand near and dear to my heart, as it is easy to see the vision of their future echoed in their past. Stanley Black and Decker have big plans for this tool line, and I wouldn’t be surprised if you see this line grow bigger than ever before. The 3000 Series tool chest, model CMST26380RB is a large tool chest measuring in at 63 inches wide, and 37 inches tall. This model contains 21,034 total cubic inches of storage. 18-gauge steel using an I-Frame Construction provides an incredible weight capacity of 3000 lbs for the chest.

Craftsman provided a lot of style to this series, with recessed drawer fronts and bold black and red colors that modernize the Craftsman iconic color scheme. The tools chests are all made in the USA using Global materials and offer a 10-year limited warranty.

A solid wood top provides workspace and is sealed to prevent stains. The top is also removable for the user’s customization.

A keyed interlocking system provides security of your tools.

I knew from the moment I saw this tool chest, that it would eventually have a place in my shop. It is all around an incredibly well-made tool chest. Reinforced joint and 18-gauge steel make it feel strong and sure, not an ounce of flimsy feeling to it. Having six large casters versus the standard four also lend itself to being a very solid chest that moves well without being unstable. Comparing it to most commercially available tool chests, this one is a huge step up features wise.

The aesthetics of this tool chest are incredible. The recessed drawer fronts and stellar color combination give this chest a very modern and sleek appearance. The wood top pairs well with the clean lines of this chest, giving both function and versatility as it is removable. The soft close drawers are a nice upgrade on a tool chest, and the slides are well set for smooth open and close operation. The drawers hold an incredible amount of weight, something you will appreciate if you are storing heavy tools. As well, there is a great balance of drawer sizes and depth, giving you excellent versatility in storage options.

The sides of the tool chest offer some unique features as well. The integrated peg board area gives you extra storage without sticking past the borders of the chest. Having a handle on both sides of the chest is also helpful in moving this tool chest. An integrated power strip provides both standard powers as well as USB ports for charging your electronics. These small touches are the things that really make this tool chest something special.

While this particular line stood out to me at the Craftsman Launch Event, there is a wide range of storage options from Craftsman. There are not only several sizes and configurations within each series, but also multiple series that have different feature sets depending on your needs and budget. The overall quality and feature set make this tool chest a good bang for your buck.

I will never forget the first time I saw one of the tool chests in the Sunex Tools Pinup Series. I was at an event and was instantly attracted to the Shelby-blue finish of a tool chest at the Sunex booth. In all senses of the word, this chest was nothing short of beautiful. When the lid opened and I saw the artwork tastefully inside showing a beautiful woman sitting on a piston and holding a wrench, I was in awe of the design. The artwork is reminiscent of a 1950’s pinup photograph, very vintage and fun. As a woman, I have an insane amount of respect for the history of women in their journey to empowerment. When you see these images, they are the perfect embodiment of a woman owning herself, her appearance, and most importantly her love of tools. It’s not sleazy, it’s powerfully sexy. I don’t think I could possibly summarize how much this lineup has inspired me.

The Pinup Series is a child of a family owned company and a women-run marketing department. The colors, the inspiration, they all come from real women in the business owning themselves and their talents. I find this series to be fun, bright, exciting and all around amazing. The fact that the tool chest is also designed to be durable and practical is the icing on the case. They are somewhat like owning functional art.

Sunex Pinup Series Tool Chest Review Features

The Sunex Pinup Series has had three limited editions. Today we look at the “Eleanor” but previous editions of “Gertie” and “Dorothy” are still available with new editions in the works. Each edition features a special edition color and artwork.

Sunex cut no corners in the construction of this tool chest. Using 18-gauge steel and premium fasteners, this tool chest will likely outlive me.

Protective edge bumpers add a nice touch, adding protection for the chest in a busy shop, and also lending protection to surroundings like cars and other shop equipment.

The handle has an easy grip feeling to it, giving an easy grasp even with greasy hands.

Four 5-inch casters, two with locks, allow incredible mobility and to this chest and offer 600 pounds of support.

The hinged lid allows for independent locking of that compartment. The hinges allow a full open for ultimate visibility.

Roller bearing drawer glides offer smooth and consistent operation with full extension.

Inside the top section is a slide lock to lock or unlock the drawers.

This tool chest has six drawers with multiple depths for ultimate storage and versatility. The top three drawers have a depth of 2.5 inches, the next two have a depth of 3.25 inches and the bottom has a depth of 4.25 inches.

Each drawer features EVA foam liners for a non-slip surface allowing your tools to stay right where you want them.

Latching handles on the drawers allow each drawer to locked when closed.

Sunex included two things you don’t often see on a tool chest, both a locking pry-bar rack and a locking screwdriver rack.

Additionally, on the sides of the chest, you have extra slots for more screwdrivers and easy organization.

Sunex made an incredibly well-designed tool chest in this model. The overall construction is impeccable, no detail was left to chance. The actual paint job was flawless, I couldn’t find a single scuff or paint issue anywhere. The finished seems and features like the edge bumpers really add to the feel of how well Sunex makes their chests.

This Chest is very easy to move around the shop. The large handle aided in being able to pull the chest around. The casters lock well and swiveled better than most. The two together make maneuvering the tool chest a breeze. Since a large portion of Sunex Tools are designed with professional mechanics in mind, I felt they really built this chest to suit their needs.

The hinged lid was a huge standout in functionality. The hinges allow the top to open fully, but slowly without slamming. With a separate keyed lock there is a lot of security in the chest. Upon opening it, the access to the prybar and screwdriver racks as well as a large storage area for containing your most used tools. I liked this area a lot for storing valuable tools and things you reach for a lot.

The drawers are well thought out and keep a lot of hand tools and accessory storage in mind. I like that there was a deeper drawer that could easily hold certain power tools that you may need such as impact wrenches or drivers. The upper, more shallow drawers are perfect for organizing standard hand tools like pliers and the like. The slides on the drawer allow them to fully open but in a smooth and succinct motion.

Overall, this is a premium tool chest. The features will give you the very best organization possible, especially for mechanics. As well, this tool chest is very fun and brings a lot of energy into a shop that definitely makes the work day go by a bit easier.

Sunex Pinup Series Tool Chest Review Value

The Sunex Pinup Series “Eleanor” Chest can be purchased for $699.00 from Acme Tools. I honestly felt this tool chest was far better quality than most available today. I would have expected to pay quite a bit more for this chest given the overall construction and feature set. There is no doubt that this tool chest was designed with the automotive industry in mind, but I think a wide range of users will find it suits their needs as well.

I loved the entire thought process behind the Sunex Pinup Series. Aestethicly these chests are beautiful, and more importantly, have a message that I think is incredible. They are both fun and empowering, something that can be hard to accomplish. All appearances aside, they are also incredibly functional tool chests. The construction quality is unparalleled in my experience, no cost was spared to create durable and long-lasting chests. The feature set is impressive, showcasing Sunex’s overall thoughtfulness in their chests. If you are in the market for tool chests, I would definitely recommend the fun-loving Pinup Series, but thankfully Sunex offers a full range of options to suit everyone’s preferences and style. Bravo Sunex for this lineup, you have certainly gained a lifelong fan in me.

If there is one thing you know about me, it is how much I truly love garage organization. There is little that can excite me more than walking out into my shop and knowing that every tool has a place. When it comes to garage organization you have a lot of options. Tool Chests, shelves, cabinets, and the like are all great options. Well, what if you want things right in arms reach? That leaves you with a pegboard, but can that really hold up to the abuse you may inflict? Odds are, no. So here we check out a unique answer to the wall storage conundrum, the Wall Control review.

Wall Control Review Overview

Wall Control has some unique history. The founders of Wall Control originally ran a multi-generation tool and die shop right here in the US. That shop has grown tremendously over the last fifty years and is now an award-winning manufacturer from satellite panels to automobile components. Since 2002 they have also included the production and distribution of the Wall Control System.

Wall Control offers a wide range of solutions to every storage obstacle you could encounter in a garage setting. Wall Control sees five main issues with existing wall storage options like pegboard and the like. Traditionally, they aren’t durable, they lack strength, versatility is limited and installation can be tedious not to mention they aren’t always attractive. So how did they seek to correct this? Well, we are going to see how their idea took shape to create an well designed garage organization system.

Wall Control Review Features

So let’s start with the panels. Wall Control designed their panels to measure 32 inches tall by 16 inches wide. The panels use 20 Gauge Steel that is 10 times stronger than regular pegboard. Additionally, the formed flange provides even more stability to each panel.

I opted for the Galvanized Steel panels, but Wall Control has a wide variety of colors and options to choose from as well as alternative panel styles.

You can mount using drywall anchors or mount directly into the studs, and conveniently the 16-inch width allows easy attachment to most standard stud spacing. Using six included screws or anchors, you can quickly attach these panels with a simple drill. Combining multiple panels is simple and allows you to create a wall of organization based on your needs and allows for easy expansion.

Wall Control uses a slotted board to work with their patented hooks and accessories but will also accept standard ¼ inch pegboard hooks should the need arise.

One of the highlights of Wall Control is their array of hooks and accessories that work with the system. I’ll talk about the ones I received in the kits, which I picked based on my needs, but there are many more to choose from. Their accessories are available in a wide range of color options using powder-coated finishes.

Shelf Assembly, both 9-inch and 6-inch, and dividers for even more organization.

Cordless Drill Holder Charging Station Rack.

Hammer Holder keeps a hammer stable and secure, and within reach when you need it.

Spray Can Holder can hold four total cans and is also ideally sized for common wood glue bottles.

A dowel rod and holder for adding commonly used items like shop towels or another great idea would be holding rolls of tape.

There is genuinely not a negative thing I could say about the Wall Control System. Ultimately the hardest part is settling on exactly how you want it and not changing it 1,000 times. You can see my process in its various stages, but I am honestly not quite settled yet. It’s easy to use, easy to adjust and makes the tools I use easily accessible. There is an incredible amount of options to make this system exactly what you want, from adjustments for clamp storage, holding power tools, or hand tools. You really have every option you can dream up with Wall Control.

Installation was a breeze, especially for me. Because I was going through 1-inch plywood that was already mounted to studs. They are packaged neatly and efficiently, nothing came damaged which is something I have seen happen often in other systems. I appreciate their user-friendly design and I love the look of it. Installing the hooks was simple too. For better grip, the O-Rings make a significant difference in keeping the hooks secured to the panels.

Wall Control uses powder-coated finishes on their painted panels and accessories, something that is definitely indicative of the higher quality and attention to detail they put in their work. Both professional shops and homeowners alike have seen great success with Wall Control, and it is easy to see why.

You have a wide variety of colors, styles, and options for all kinds of storage needs. While I focused on its use in my shop, make no mistake, I have every intention of organizing some other areas in my home. Imagine what a system like this could do in a laundry room or office? Wall Control is easily the most well-executed wall storage system I have seen. You certainly have options on the market, but none that I have seen come close to the quality of Wall Control.
